If you’re arriving early, consider exploring Lima’s food scene, historic center,or coastline. This city is known for world-class cuisine and rich colonial architecture.

Today our private guide will dive into Lima's contrasting sides, from its modern neighborhoods like Miraflores to its
UNESCO-recognized historic center. You’ll stroll colonial plazas, admire grand architecture, and visit the eerie catacombs of the San Francisco Convent. It’s a great way to connect the past to the present and better understand Peru’s capital.

This morning we head to the airport for your short flight to Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. You’ll be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel in the city center. Since Cusco sits at over 11,000 feet, we’ll take it easy today to help your body adjust. You’re free to explore nearby shops or sip coca tea on a balcony overlooking the Plaza de Armas. The city’s charm and mountain views make it a favorite stop on the journey.

Spend your day uncovering the rich layers of history in Cusco. Visit the stunning Cusco Cathedral and the temple of Qoricancha, where Spanish and Inca worlds meet. Outside the city, explore the majestic ruins of Sacsayhuamán, a marvel of stonework and strategy. In the afternoon, wander freely, shop at the colorful San Pedro Market or explore the artsy streets of San Blas. There’s beauty in the details here: carved balconies, local crafts, and quiet plazas waiting to be discovered.

Get off the beaten path with a visit to two fascinating sites in the Sacred Valley. First, explore the circular agriculturalterraces of Moray, an ancient Inca experiment in microclimates. Then, visit the Maras salt pans, where salt has beenharvested by hand for centuries. Your guide will share the deep cultural and agricultural importance of these places. After the tour, return to Cusco.

It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for,  a full day exploring the legendary Machu Picchu. You’ll take the scenic trainthrough the Sacred Valley, then a bus up to the ruins for a guided tour of this breathtaking wonder. Wander throughancient stone paths and take in the mountain views that have inspired travelers for centuries. Afterward, return to thevalley by train and head to your hotel for a restful evening.
